In example 2, the semicolon is useless. You could as well have this :

awk &#039;BEGIN { ORS=&quot;\n\n&quot; } 1&#039; 

instead of :

awk &#039;BEGIN { ORS=&quot;\n\n&quot; }; 1&#039;</description>
